About

Born in Jakarta, Indonesia. Jicho started his first music lesson at the age of 7 learning drums and piano, in his years of study he taught by serveral drums and piano teacher. After graduated highschool in 2011, Jicho enrolled as student at Daya Indonesia Performing Arts Academy, taking the music certification program and he continued his study to pursue the Bachelor Degree Majoring in drums Performance and Minoring in Piano.

When he was in college presented the opportunity to be mentored by Jazz Pianist - Prof. Tjut Nyak Deviana Daudsjah, Ali Akbar, Sri hanuraga, Adra Karim, Nial Djuliarso and also Drummer Sandy Satya and Yosef Andrianta.

Jicho had masterclass with Will Kennedy, Willard Dyson, Michael league, and Xantone Blacq

He started his career as a session musician, he started to play in function band with his college friends. Since he was 15 years old and he started to perform professionally in a jazz clubs and rock bar such as Prohibition Chophouse & Speakeasy Bar, Motion Blue at Fairmont Hotel, Black cat jazz & blues club Jakarta, Intro Jazz tokyo, Intro Jazz Bistro, BSD, Jazz spot Naches, Fabster stage, Jazz House Alfie Roppongi, Japan.

Jicho performed with many great indonesian and international musicians such as Nial Djuliarso, Prof. Tjut Nyak Deviana, Kaoru Inoue, Sawyer Hartwell, Kym Purling, Marc Belkadi, Afgan, Adra Karim and the list goes on. Jicho experiences Performing in jazz festivals and concerts such as International Java Jazz festivals, Jazz in July, Esplanade ,Torang pe Jazz festivals, We The Fest, Locafore Jazz Festivals, Soundrenaline, Localfest.

He also co-manage entertainment agency with his friend Indra Bayu called Ibarus Music Entertainment and he worked in one of the luxury cruise ship as a showband/orchestra drummer - Celebrity Equinox and Royal Caribbean . He performed around the world as a session musician such as in Tokyo, Singapore, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, USA.

Jicho have big passion in teaching music, he teach drums since 2013. Now he is based in Dubai as Drums, Piano teacher and as a Performer.

Teaching

He began his career as a Drum teacher in 2013, he teach private lesson at first amd afterward he joined one of the biggest music school in Jakarta, Music School of Indonesia. Now he is teaching in Dubai as drums and piano teacher in one of the biggest music school in United Arab Emirates.

Performing

Jicho began his career as a session musician, he plays various genre, from Jazz to RnB. He performed in more than 8 countries as bandleader - Jicho Trio or as a sideman/ session player.
